Temporary Closure

Dear Friends,

It has been three months since Restaurant Inua temporarily closed in response to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

During that time, and like many in our community, we have faced challenges that we have never seen before. We have faced them together and with a united spirit and sense of purpose. However, with the continued uncertainty being faced by our industry and community, both here in Tokyo and around the world, I wanted to share with you that we have decided that Inua will continue to remain closed. As difficult as this decision is, with the wellbeing of our team and guests at the heart of everything we do, it is the only decision we can take.

Beyond that, we know that restarting the local and international economy will take time, and recovery will take even longer. Remaining closed for now will give us the best chance of returning again in the future.

At this time, I want to thank all of our friends and guests for their friendship and support – there is nothing more I look forward to than welcoming and serving you again.

To our suppliers from around the country, thank you for supporting us and helping us realise our vision to create a menu that celebrated all of Japan.

Most importantly, to my team, I am so proud of everything we have achieved together in such a short time. It is beyond my wildest dreams, and I look to the day when we will continue this journey together.
