A heart-wrenching announcement that may not come as surprise to many people out there.
We will be closing our doors from Saturday, 4th of April for the foreseeable future. We take solace in the fact that we are not alone in our struggle, and truthfully feel blessed to have been able to continue doing what we love for so long in recent circumstances. We have endeavored to go above and beyond our rigorous cleaning routine in our restaurant to safely welcome our guests who still wish for something special to look forward to during these dark times. However, as COVID-19 unveils itself in Tokyo, we feel a moral responsibility to put the well-being of our colleagues, friends, and family first. We will continue to monitor the local situation and have already begun discussing how our team can support the city and community, albeit from a safe distance. For many of our farmers and foragers all over Japan, we are heading into Mother Nature’s peak season as the land and sea springs to life. Where possible we will continue to source delicious produce for our staff to cook for their families at home, or to preserve for our guests to enjoy when we reopen our doors to the world.
